This ‘Groovy & Toothy’ Birch Bark silver cuff bracelet is another collaboration between Amanda and American sculptor, Katherine Taylor of KTcreature.
This bracelet has both the delicate slit as well as the rougher ‘toothy’ texture found on a silver birch tree in the Adirondack Mountains in upstate New York. Small colourless (white) diamonds are embedded in various openings to add a subtle sparkling preciousness to the piece. Two other patterns were taken from the same tree, ‘Rough & Toothy’ and ‘Smooth & Groovy’ .
KT’s creates large-scale sculptures drawing on the natural world, its animals, landscapes and textures. She invited Amanda to collaborate with her to translate her work into a smaller scale, wearable pieces of her fine art as fine jewellery.
KTcreature is represented by the Skoto Gallery in New York City and are members of the highly regarded Art Dealers Association of America (ADAA) , a nonprofit membership organization of the nation’s leading galleries in the fine arts.
