– INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY –
Amanda Li Hope designs are subject to copyright and design rights. All intellectual property rights in our designs belong to Amanda Li Hope.
Amanda Li Hope is the operator of the website www.amandalihope.com (the “Website”). All materials on the Website, and the Website itself, are protected by copyright, designs, trade marks and other intellectual property rights. Such materials include, but are not limited to, any photographs, images, product descriptions, designs, logos, trade marks, and other materials contained on the Website.
The images on the Website are for informational purposes only and are automatically protected by UK copyright law. They should not be downloaded or printed for any purpose other than legitimate use related to the company.
You are expressly prohibited from:
• Reproducing, copying, editing, or incorporating into any other materials, any of the content from the Website including without limitation, any images of the products and their descriptions and other material made available on the website; and
• Using any registered or unregistered trade marks/logos/designs owned by Amanda Li Hope, and doing anything which could be considered an infringement of any of the intellectual property rights owned by Amanda Li Hope.
– BESPOKE JEWELLERY COMMISSIONS –
When commissioning a specifically requested jewellery design with Amanda you are essentially confirming that the design does not infringe the design rights or copyright of any third parties.
Amanda Li Hope accepts no responsibility for any intellectual property infringement on the part of designers or customers submitting designs to be made by Amanda Li Hope. If an issue regarding copyright or design infringement arises, it must be resolved between the parties directly involved, and with no recourse to Amanda Li Hope .
Private customers – Amanda Li Hope will own all intellectual property rights in all commissioned designs. All intellectual property rights associated with the design or manufacturing processes of the commissioned jewellery are the property of Amanda Li Hope and remain so after ownership of the specific piece of commissioned jewellery passes to the customer.
Trade customers – Amanda Li Hope will own all intellectual property rights in all commissioned designs . All intellectual property rights associated with the design or manufacturing processes of the commissioned jewellery are the property of Amanda Li Hope and remain so after ownership of the specific pieces of commissioned jewellery passes to the customer. In appropriate situations, Amanda Li Hope will grants trade customers a non-exclusive limited licence to reproduce the commissioned designs on terms to be agreed separately between the trade customer and Amanda. For the avoidance of doubt, Amanda Li Hope retains all copyright in the underlying design drawings and any drawings are not to be used without Amanda’s consent.
– REPAIRS & ALTERATIONS –
Whilst Amanda Li Hope makes every endeavour to secure, protect and insure items left by customers, they are left at customers’ own risk.
Repairs to jewellery , other than originally made by Amanda Li Hope, are not guaranteed. Although every care is made to make an effective repair, the original work or design may be fragile or defective.
When leaving jewellery or precious stones with Amanda Li Hope for repair or alteration, you can be assured of the utmost care and attention in relation to the item at all times. Goods are only handled by and repaired by fully qualified personnel. However, customers should be aware that no repair is fully without risk.
Precious stones are particularly vulnerable in the case of some repairs, especially resetting or re-clawing and, in the cases of some softer stones, even cleaning can damage them.
Customers must accept that jewellery can be damaged during the repair process. In the event of damage or total stone loss, Amanda Li Hope cannot be held liable for the replacement of such.
In the unlikely event that stones are chipped or grazed during a repair process, Amanda Li Hope would endeavour to re-polish the stone, but customers should be aware that during the re-cutting or polishing process, the stone may become smaller than the original size.
If you require more information regarding the risks to precious jewellery items, please contact Amanda directly, and Amanda can arrange to fully examine the piece prior to starting it and inform the customer of the likelihood of the above risks being applicable . Amanda has obtained insurance cover in respect of theft and property loss up to a maximum of £15,000.
All you need to know about Packaging, Delivery, Returns
– PACKAGING –
Gift Box – all packed up and ready to go!
Buying a handmade piece of fine jewellery is a special purchase, and we give all of our pieces the royal treatment before sending them off to their lucky recipient. All items will be packed securely in a minimally designed gift box, which is tied up with an elegant ribbon before being sent off. If you require a gift card to accompany the piece, please contact Amanda with a simple message to be included.
– DELIVERY –
Dispatch times
Items will be dispatched once the item has been given its finishing touches in the workshop and payment is received:
– In stock items can be ready to dispatch in 1-2 working days.
– Items displayed in our Shop that are out of stock can be ready to dispatch in 1 – 4 weeks.
– Bespoke items typically take 3-6 weeks, but this timing depends on the complexity of the order. Please visit our Commissioning Process page for more information.
Please contact Amanda if you have a specific schedule to meet or would like to know the exact shipping schedule of your order. She will do her best to accommodate your deadline.
UK Customers
We offer two levels of delivery, both of which are recorded and fully insured. You may also wish to collect the item yourself from Amanda’s London studio located in Hatton Garden:
1. Free UK shipping via Recorded First Class Royal Mail. This service will normally take 3-5 working days to reach you once the item is dispatched. A tracking number is provided and signature is required.
2. Next Day Special Delivery. This service will normally take 1-working day to reach you once the item is dispatched. A tracking number is provided and signature is required.
3. Studio collection. If you’d like to come and collect the piece in person and meet Amanda, this is also an option.
International Customers (outside Europe)
We offer two levels of recorded and fully insured delivery to countries outside of of the UK:
1. Standard Airmail via ParcelForce. This service will normally take 5-14 working days to reach you once the item is dispatched. A tracking number is provided and signature is required.
2. Priority Airmail via FedEx or DHL. This service will normally take 1-3 working days to reach you once the item is dispatched. A tracking number is provided and signature is required.
Please be advised the recipient will be responsible for any international custom duties or taxes that may be applied at the destination’s country; these are normally collected by the carrier at the time of delivery.
We will notify you when your item is dispatched and send you the tracking number of your parcel. Please note that we cannot be held responsible for any parcels lost in transit.
– Returns, Exchanges, and Refunds –
Returns Policy
If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, we are very sorry to hear that. Please read our policies below for your options to return or exchange your piece.
Policy for Shop Orders
Items purchased from Amanda’s Shop are eligible for a full refund or exchange, but please note they will be accepted at the discretion of Amanda Li Hope and are first subject to a quality assurance check when received. Any items that show signs of wear, have been damaged, resized or altered by a third party will invalidate our return policy and will not be accepted for an exchange or return.
Exchanges – We offer exchanges up to 14 days after the item has been received. Please email us [email protected] with your name, order reference, reason for the exchange, and name of the item you would like to exchange it for.
As soon as we have received your email, we will acknowledge your request and provide return address to ship the item to.
The item should be sent back in its original packaging, be in its original state and sent via trackable delivery service. We can assist you in arranging an insured shipping method. We do not take responsibility for the return shipping cost when an item is exchanged unless the original item was faulty.
Refunds – We offer refunds for items you do not wish to keep up to 14 days after the item has been received.

As soon as we have received your email, we will acknowledge your request and provide return address to ship the item to.
The item should be sent back in its original packaging, be in its original state and sent via trackable delivery service. We can assist you in arranging an insured shipping method. We do not take responsibility for the return shipping cost when an item is exchanged unless the original item was faulty. We will process the refund via the same method of payment as the original purchase was made.
Policy for Bespoke Orders
Bespoke orders are subject to the same terms and conditions as for those listed above in the ‘Shop Policy’, with the exception that the 50% deposit taken during the commissioning process is non-refundable. The remaining 50% of the payment originally taken can either applied as credit towards a different piece or as a refund upon the return of the piece. A full refund will only be issued if the item is faulty when supplied.
