This ‘Smooth & Groovy’ Birch Bark silver cuff bracelet is a collaboration between Amanda and American sculptor, KTcreature.

This ‘Smooth & Groovy’ texture highlights the delicate slit pattern taken from a silver birch tree in the Adirondack Mountains in upstate New York. Small colourless (white) diamonds are embedded in various slits to add a subtly sparkling preciousness to the piece. Two other patterns were taken from the same tree, ‘Rough & Toothy’ and ‘Smoothy & Toothy’.

KT’s creates large-scale sculptures drawing on the natural world, its animals, landscapes and textures. She invited Amanda to collaborate with her to translate her work into a smaller scale, wearable pieces of her fine art as fine jewellery. The outcome are these bracelet designs, created in either recycled or certified Fairmined sterling silver using unique impressions of textures KT has taken from the bark of a single silver birch tree in the Adirondack Mountains.
