Engraved Gold Medallion

This engraved gold medallion was designed and crafted from scratch using heirloom gold in the Hatton Garden workshop. The gold was recycled through Amanda’s hand alloying process, allowing old, unworn gold to be melted down and given new life.

This medallion was commissioned to commemorate the birth of a child. The symbol is a combination of the letter ‘A’ in Tamil and Sinhalese, representing the mixed Sri Lankan heritage of the child, whose name starts with this letter. The symbol has been hand engraved with a border to match the texture and design of a wedding ring that Amanda had made for this client.
